  1. Incredible series of shots ~ and great intro to Morocco. It has been a dream of mine to visit this place but have yet to find it in my travels… Someday soon ๐Ÿ™‚ Well done.

    1. Thank you! I appreciate it ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m trying to write my own experiences instead of “you can go do that or this” I need to fill up my blog since I started it like 5 days ago, so the stories you read can be from 5 years ago till present time. Well there are so many things in the world to see, I wish you the best with travels!

    1. Thank you ๐Ÿ™‚ Canada’s nature is astonishing and people are so friendly compared to european peeps haha we did have some trouble in a little place Mont-Joli because they spoke french lol and I don’t haha so it was all hand and body gestures but I had a great great time in Canada! I think I made around 4000 photos in 3 weeks. it took me quite some time to sort out all the photos ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. ah Quebec can be very hard to get around in, all the small villages have no English, so annoying! oh well, it improves your hand gestures ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m sure the rest of the photos are stunning, you are a great photographer and captured the east coast beautifully.

    1. she makes beautiful songs ๐Ÿ™‚ the crowd isn’t that huge though, it looks huge but it can only fit 1500 people, paradiso is actually an old church that was build in 1880, but concerts and other events are held here since the 70’s ๐Ÿ™‚ #funfacts

    1. I saw yesterday on FB that in Japan they’re searching for ninja’s haha, tourist industry lol a requirement is that you can do a backflip lol

    1. I love to search for new artists, I love music so much I listen to music like 24/7 haha. I start my day with music and I end my day with music ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. How are you still single? You like all the right things :O, I’m so jealous btw that you got to travel to all these awesome places, wish I win the lottery or something and just go around the world, meet people, experience different cultures, make tons of pictures, eat awesome food and do fun stuff! Sadly my parents only wanted to do stuff in The Netherlands itself or go to Germany, but that was quite a while ago and my dad was the only one working a average job ;’)

    1. well, first of all I’m kind off an introvert person. I like to have family around but still love it when I’m alone. I enjoy the quietness (that’s why I’m a fan of nature and not the city lol). Second, I’m not really searching (as in strolling the web or going out just to meet someone). It’ll come one day. well I haven’t exactly won the lottery either haha but I work 40-45 hours a week, I don’t buy stuff that I don’t need, I save and save just for traveling because that’s my highest priority lol. Indeed traveling and experiencing other cultures is something you just don’t learn in school. there’s plenty of cool stuff to see/do here ๐Ÿ™‚ I have to admit that sometimes I just don’t see the beauty of this country anymore. so all I can say is, save your money and make little trips, start with Europe, tickets are often pretty cheap ๐Ÿ™‚ what do you wanna see or what have you seen already?

  3. I’ve never really fancied Gran Canaria or the other Canary Islands as I’ve always thought they were so overly touristy but your pictures looked great! I guess you can find culture anywhere if you look for it!

    1. well the Gran Canaria is indeed reaaaaally touristic but mostly in the north Las Palmas and in the south Playa del Inglรฉs. it takes 35 minutes with the car to go from north to south along the coast, we went to the middle of the island to the highest point and it took us 2 hours since the roads are narrow in the mountains ๐Ÿ™‚ but even I didn’t expect to find this on this small island

        1. haha you should xD no just kidding I see Gran Canaria as a place to really just relax at the beach for a week, outside of the school holidays it’s fairly cheap to fly there, we usually have tickets around 80-100 euro roundtrip, of course we already have a place to stay so we don’t pay for a hotel or anyhting which makes it a cheap mid-holiday for us ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Good luck at photography school! I found that studying in my mid-20’s was far better than back at school. I think it’s because we are doing it out of choice, in a subject that we really enjoy, rather than being confused and picking any old thing ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. exactly! you have to choose at a very young age already (13-14) and nowadays there is just so much to choose from, its like going from diapers to career in an instant. I’ve been loving photography since high school already just never really thought about it as a job, because in high school the only things I got to see for a future career is healthcare, ICT business and being a chef cook :/ so initially I chose to be a chef cook, later on into the graphic business, and now photography ๐Ÿ™‚ I just did what made me happy at that time not really thinking about the future ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. I totally agree! It’s something I really want to get good at too, I think there’s something so wonderful about being able to capture the beauty of a moment, and have it to look at forever. The photos on your blog I have seen so far are great by the way. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m just reading your Indonesia post which is really interesting! I’m glad you’re now pursuing something that is what you want, and will compliment another passion perfectly (your travels!). ๐Ÿ˜€

        1. Over the years I have upgraded my DSLR, it’s indeed about capturing moments ๐Ÿ™‚ I just love to give people quality photos to look at because whenever I look at a beautiful photo of some place I just wanna go there too, that’s what I’m trying to achieve with my photos, I hope one day I can combine a photography job with travelling ๐Ÿ™‚ well tbh the Indonesia trip is also the only trip where we have really seen a lot in 3 weeks from West to East ๐Ÿ™‚ and it was one magical experience

  5. I applaud you for choosing to go back to school! It is wonderful to follow your dreams, no matter your age. I am 31 and I still think about chasing my dreams of turning what I love into a living. Right now I work as a statistician, which I do enjoy I suppose. But in my dream world I would make a living from blogging about the things I love: cooking, baking, food photography, traveling, video games, reading, writing.

Thank you so much for sharing this inspirational post. It is sometimes overwhelming to think about pursuing a dream as a living and how to make it happen, but it really helps to see someone else doing the same. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. if we all stay positive and send out positive thoughts it will definitely help other people in making their decision! on IG (whish I use 24/7) you see so many people enjoying and pursuing their dream that it made me realise that I should do it too ๐Ÿ™‚ now I slightly understand to just do what you love, I was afraid of losing my job, because nowadays it’s so hard to get a job especially one with a contract since they don’t give that so easily anymore. but now I know I have to take risks, I hope one day to combine photography with travelling ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. thanks ^^ I forgot to mention another thing in the post so I’m gonna update it… again lol

    2. btw, could you confirm if you’ve got a mail or not, I don’t know if this self host WordPress thing sends out an email to my followers if I post new stuff (yay for self host lol) I at least know I get mails from all the bloggers I follow. I’d appreciate that a lot ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. you’re welcome ^^ it’s actually quite hard to really focus on blogging, especially if you have a full time job of 45+ hours a week, I often check some in my break time, or when I get home maybe an hour or so and then I’m already off to bed lol

      1. Exactly! So hard to try and find time for everything you need to do with social media, writing quality content, taking good photos, engaging with other blogs, on top of a fulltime job and everything else! Ha! We are crazy!

        1. but maybe one day, one day you’ll succeed and will get paid for blogging (if you’re serious of course) and then your life will change, it may take a looong long time though xD it’s indeed crazy but I was already crazy before blogging lol

    1. thank you ^^ appreciate it a lot! I’m trying different kinds of photo styles at the moment ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. We had a great time ^^ we actually wanted to stay in a treehouse but that was even more expensive hehe

    1. thank you ^^ my first serious try at creating something “fairytale/mystery” like with my own photos (apart from the animal photos lol)

        1. ah nice! isn’t photography fun ๐Ÿ™‚ I started out with a D3100 back in 2010 ($300), sold it then bought the D7100 ($1200), sold that one and now I own D750 ($2600) which will help me for years ๐Ÿ™‚ I also love the 35 and 50mm 1.8 lens they are fairly cheap ($150-$200) and they give razor sharp images!

          1. yw ๐Ÿ˜ƒ a lot of people shoot with the 50mm because it’s just the most sharp lens till this day and the “bokeh” you get is superb ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

    1. indeed, sometimes I comment on a blog/post with like 200 words ๐Ÿ˜‚ and I get a like back, there are so many things in that comment that one could respond too, ah well I also keep in mind that people maybe started a blog and then after a few posts they don’t like it anymore. I mean I think (I know) people enjoy getting comments and likes right ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. oh yes especially me lol, but I agree. It’s important to respond and engage because those people are taking the time out of their day to comment in the first place. If one is serious about blogging, they should look at this as a priority!

      2. Yes, especially if people are trying to take blogging seriously it’s so crucial to respond to all comments and likes! I, for one, love receiving the feedback on my blog so I’m sure other bloggers can relate.

    1. Thank you for reading! there is so much to see in this world that everything becomes part of the “to visit list” haha. The coast of Croatia is gorgeous, the sea is clear blue. A drive through the country, some places still have visible war scars, like bullet holes in buildings, half buildings etc. very intriguing and of course the famous waterfalls of Plitvice Lake absolutely stunning.

  6. Live the album ideas! I think the high tech definitely making me forgot how precious album was .. I will see where I can do once I leave Cambodia ! It would be a great gift for friends ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. thank you! albums are just lovely to have, you take a book, you take your time to look at it again and really feel what your holiday was like. It’s indeed great as a gift too! what is your website? can’t seem to get it when I click on your name or avatar.

    1. hellooowz there, ah yea saw it on instagram, in A’dam right ๐Ÿ™‚ there are so many beautiful places here, of course there are beautiful places everywhere haha. I’ve only recently discovered how beautiful this country is lol. I just never saw the beauty of my own country. I’m more of a nature person than a city person though ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Thanks! a photo album is just so much more fun and you get this good feeling if you go through a book.

    1. Hi thank you for stopping by! I have actually only been to Amsterdam like 3 times in my life haha. I live in the middle of The Netherlands and I always go to the city Utrecht. You can compare this to Amsterdam only it’s build closer to each other, and the city itself is a bit smaller and cosier, which I like, In summer time you can sit downstairs along the canals of Utrecht which is also very nice. Ah yes about the rain, it rains a lot here. Every week we have rain and getting closer to winter it’s going to rain more and more and icy cold winds. I followed you!

        1. some parts are and some parts are at 0. 60% of The Netherlands is below sea lvl (NAP as we call the measurement), the lowest is 7 meters below sea lvl ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. I love knowing about your experiences! I live in Philippines, and it’s so interesting for me to find out more about how someone else lives their day to day lives across the world.

Your shots are always so beautiful, and you have a cute dog. <3

    Thanks for sharing!

    1. It’s always interesting to know how people go through their daily life ๐Ÿ™‚ thank you for liking my photos (and our dog) I try my best to upload high quality photos ^^ I mean what else to expect when you aha photography as a hobby ^^

        1. it’s a pretty chill song right ๐Ÿ™‚ She (Ember Island) doesn’t have a lot of songs but most of them are really good ^^

    1. I have been there a few times indeed because I have family there. Last time though was in 2014, My aunt and cousins they come over here more then we go to the US haha.

  8. They look really great! I found making album is cool too. But one disadvantage that I can think of is: the weight of the album. It might be quite heavy to transport all the albums at once ๐Ÿ˜‰

    1. Hey! it is definitely great right ๐Ÿ™‚ if you have to move all of the albums together then it is pretty heavy yea haha, thanks for stopping by here and IG ^^

  9. I recently got my passport renewed and seriously the lighting was horrible and my picture is blurry. No kidding. But I’m stuck with it for the next however many years so I better learn to like it, right?

I found your blog from the Dream Big, Dream Often blog that featured your site. I was featured last week. It would be great if you wanted to check out my blog.

    Poweredbymangos.wordpress.com

    1. Hi! yes Ik now it’s always horrible the pictures haha. Stuck for another 10 years lol. ah alright cool, I actually followed you aleady ๐Ÿ˜‰ of course I will check it out more!! have a great day ^^

    1. Hi thanks for stopping by! sorry for the late reply, I still get confused by the notifications list and I sometimes overlook things lol Cheers ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. that is true both are important, usually the text you get to see in the preview are indeed 3 to 5 sentence’s or something and they need to be catchy indeed. For me I still look at the photo first then the title and then the preview text ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. For me it’s the photos! Something to look at โ˜บ๏ธ A nice balance of photos and text is what I think works โ˜บ๏ธ I too love instagram for that reason โ˜บ๏ธ

    1. ah alright good to know! I usually really look at the featured photo but that’s mainly because I love photos/photography so an image always gets me more than a title ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. Hi,
I know Roberta. Definitely the headline this is why I try to make my headlines credible as well is clickable.
Congratulations on being Danny Ray’s featured blogger.
I was his featured blogger too. Maybe you can check out my blog if you need a blogging tip or two. That’s what I write about.
I brought you the link to my About page so you can read more about my blog. http://wp.me/P6x6vQ-89
    Janice

    1. Hi there! Seems like indeed most people (unlike me) find the title very important! but that is good to know, I’m always so enthusiastic with photos that I sometimes forget about the importance of a title or the post itself. I’m a hobby photographer and it’s just that photos really get to me and often it gets me more than words ๐Ÿ™‚ still I gotta try to adept more to the majority (I mean that would be wise if 80% looks at titles more haha) I’ll definitely check out your blog! thanks ๐Ÿ™‚

  12. So beautiful, so cool! Love the music in this video, love the clouds and like you said the “height”. I think you have a gift, you have great creative powers! Looking forward to seeing more of your stuff!!
    Uebrigs, sprechen sie deutsch?

    1. thank you! I can really enjoy nature so much ๐Ÿ™‚ I can read German and I understand it a bit if people talk but me speaking the language isn’t that great at all haha xD more like none hihi. Although some words look like Dutch words it’s still confusing for me lol

  13. I haven’t really used my passport, because I have never traveled outside of Europe. So I have always used my ID card. I used my passport when I went to Russia once, I think. Can’t wait to get it filled with stamps.
May I ask, how do I start? How to I start traveling? Do I save up money? I just don’t know where to start.

    1. Hi, first of all are you commenting with your correct profile? because your title says “someone” and I can’t click on your name/avatar ๐Ÿ™‚ Well then indeed inside Europe you can use your ID although I don’t have an ID because it’s too expensive to get both, so I choose to have a passport which expires every 10 years. It’s indeed all about getting stamps haha! first of all saving money would be handy hihi inside Europe you don’t need a lot because tickets are fairly cheap especially outside of school holidays like now. My parents are going to Gran Canaria tomorrow, roundtrip 48 euro per person! (excluding hotel costs but Airbnb helps a lot to find cheaper rooms!). The thing is, as soon as you find something cheap online you have to book it right away! because these cheap flights aren’t online for long. So if you know that you want to go away and you know the dates then you can immediately book. About where to start, this is pretty tough because like many others you probably want to see everything. Go to the place that has been on your mind the most for a start ๐Ÿ™‚ it’s also handy if you book 1 or 2 months ahead so you can save some money in these 1/2 months ๐Ÿ™‚ this way you don’t have to spend all costs from one salary which is almost impossible ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. thanks ^^ I hope it will grow in the near future. I don’t really have sell-able photos yet but that will come soon enough ๐Ÿ™‚

  14. Beautiful colours in this shot! I love the winter, but not the -8 C which is what it is now here in Whistler. I can deal with 0 C, but minus isn’t my favourite!! that’s for sure. I like 15 – 20 C, spring weather, Fall weather (Fall is my favourite season), love the cool air and the sunshine at the same time. I don’t like the heat. And yes, I do see the difference in the weather all around the world, even right here at home! Hope you had a great second cup of tea!! ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. haha I actually like the minus weather more than let’s say 0-15 degrees hihi. I think everyone notices differences in their place ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. it’s not so bad the cold although my face freezes off in the morning xD it is really beautiful ๐Ÿ˜€

  15. I love winter colours (or absence of colours). That frost is quite familiar, been very common these last days… living in the Netherlands?
    Nice shots anyways.

    1. Thank you, I really like the frozen looks too (from behind the glass lol) it’s really too cold for me though even though it’s only -4 haha. Yes indeed The Netherlands. This sight only lasted for 3 days, it’s raining again :/

    1. thank you ๐Ÿ™‚ haha it does look cold right hehe, -4 celsius isn’t that bad actually lol, it may sound weird but I find 5 to 10 degrees colder than this haha because if it’s this cold the wind and air is different as when it’s 5 to 10 degrees which makes it more pleasant the -4 lol

  16. I’m more of a summer girl. I think it’s because we only have two seasons: the sunny and the rainy. It’s what we get for living in a tropical country. I love it here, the Philippines. You should give it a visit because it’s mostly sunny here and you have lots of places to go. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. a the tropicals that sounds like it’s sunny most of the time ๐Ÿ™‚ I guess when it rains it’s still quite warm the temperature right? tropical rain, at least that’s what I experienced when we were in Papua new Guinea in 2012 ๐Ÿ™‚ it was a warm rain but all day long in the rainy season. ah yea there are lots of places that I want to visit xD money is the problem though haha

  17. Yeah, it’s still quite warm but for the months of December to February it’s cold. Those are our coldest months and then it’s hot all year long again. Me too! I want to visit lots of places too ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ why traveling is so expensive? Haha

  18. Yes I have seen changes in weather. I live in Estonia and usually when it is winter, it will be cold and the ground will be white with snow. But I think the last three christmases we have spent without snow. Once, the snow came down in july and they even wrote a song about it. haha. But I think my favourite is summer. I can’t really handle the cold.

    1. indeed the earth gets warmer we all notice it ๐Ÿ™‚ but summer is the best haha. Cheers to a healthy and awesome 2017!!

    1. thanks! I’ll post another story in a week or 2 or so. I was extremely nervous singing on the school radio for the first time haha. Best wishes for 2017!!

        1. Yes I saw it! I was replying and then the bell at work went ding-dong, now I’m at home so I can take my time to reply ;D

    1. Thank you! I was pretty nervous when I had to sing but it went all good haha. Cheers to the new year and best wishes for 2017! ๐Ÿป๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ˜ƒ

  19. Congratulations on being a contributor to such a large venue online! Those stock photos are such a gift to others who need them and might not otherwise have access to good quality photographs (like me!).

    1. Thank you!! I thought why not give it a try and it seems it’s working. in my first week 6 downloads, even though I only get $0.25 per download it’s still something that can grow and grow ๐Ÿ™‚ I had no clue that stock photos were used this much. I hope I can upload more and more in the future ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. Absolutely give it try. ๐Ÿ™‚ I started doing that at a few sites with submitting writing. We never really know unless we try. I love stock photos and they are actually very popular for presentations, articles, web sites, etc. This is a great way for you to get your work out there and I wish you the best!

        1. Indeed gotta keep trying or you will never know ๐Ÿ™‚ Did it work out for you with writing? even if it’s just a little bit?

  20. Glad to know your photography study is going good. I have yet to buy my film camera so I have to put that aside first, but I’m pushing through in getting my own domain sometime next month and also will start a business with my friend which includes more travel.

And yes, Ed’s album is the bomb. Have a great day!

    1. Hiya Kristine! I’ve only just started and had my first two weeks now ๐Ÿ™‚ ah that’s so cool hope you can travel lots and lots more!! it’s the best if you can combine it with photography ๐Ÿ™‚ โœŒ

      1. So is it a full time thing? Or is it part time and still have your job? And thanks! More travels, I hope. Hopefully I can combine it with photography. Cross-fingers on that! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿคž

        1. it’s one day a week (Thursday) and I work 4 days next to it, right now I only have the weekends to do all my assignments, you get around 20 hours of homework so it’s basically a full workweek for me lol

          1. haha yea really xD the weather always sux here and even after 26 years I still don’t like it and if there is one thing that sets my mood… it’s the weather xD

          2. I know but true story ๐Ÿท๐Ÿ˜‚ it’s always wind, rain and grey skies here

    1. thanks! yea well I just had the first 2 lessons and it’s preeetty busy haha it’s hard to combine it with work at the moment ๐Ÿ™‚ have a great week!

    1. Indeed love it too! I study photography now and we have to photograph everything in black and white because this way it’ll change the way you look at everything. Do you use Insragram for your photos?

      1. I think it’s a great way to learn to set yourself challenges or themes and do it for a week or so and focus totally on it. Yes, black and white makes you look at what your photographing more carefully. I love it, i need to do more of it. Yes I’m on Instagram sheridan_444

  21. I replied to your comment and then it disappeared! So i apologise if I’m repeating myself, I’m new to WordPress. I said that I think having a challenge or theme that you set for yourself is a great way to learn and just focus on that particular theme, like black and white only. Or just low angle shots for a week etc . Photographing in black and white makes you see things in a different way and forces you to either tell a story or to bring the image alive. I really love it, so arty and cool. Yes my Instagram is sheridan_444 although i don’t like how Instagram can ruin the quality of your photos sometimes, they get cropped as well, or maybe I’m just useless at technology haha!

    1. WordPress does strange things sometimes haha even I see strange things happen from time to time. but I got your last reply ๐Ÿ™‚ Instagram is THE platform for a lot of photographers! such amazing photos on here I follow a few on my personal and on my photography account. I’ll add you ๐Ÿ™‚ (@jorihaarphotography is my username) The quality is not too bad of IG, I’m on it 24/7 lol square photos has some kind off old skool polaroid feeling to it, I kinda like it ๐Ÿ™‚ but you can also upload the photo in it’s whole.

  22. Your instagram looks good! What kind of photography are you most in? Looks like you’re gonna be good at everything ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Hiya Michaela! At the moment I’m more into landscape and animals. Now that I’m a few weeks into the study I start to like other things like portraits (I’ve always loved to look at portraits). What we learn at school is to really develop yourself instead of just how to take “good” photos, we get very diverse assignments, the speed in which we have to learn things is really really high and when you need to step out of your comfort zone you don’t really have the time to think about it ๐Ÿ™‚

      1. This is cool ๐Ÿ™‚ I love portrait photography. Well, that’s pretty the same what they teach at our school just you seem to know the technical stuff too, which is something most of our photography schools leave out ๐Ÿ™‚
Well, yes, my blog is https://blueberrylace.wordpress.com/ ๐Ÿ™‚

        1. nice, I think most photography schools have their own opinion on what “photography” stands for. For some it’s technique and others it’s feeling, being creative etc. ๐Ÿ™‚ I followed your blog and IG ^^

          1. You’re right. Just feels like one can never be a real pro unless they’ve mastered both. That’s our fight I guess ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks! Same here ๐Ÿ˜‰

    2. Do you have a blog? because nothing happens when I click on your name or avatar ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

    1. thank you, I try my best to update it once a while. It’s so busy and I’m making late hours that it sometimes takes a while before a new post is up ๐Ÿ™‚

  23. All the pictures are great, Tori. I hope you had an amazing weekend here in Maastricht (I love living in this city).
Congrats, and good luck with your studies and your pictures! ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Ah you live there nice, it’s a pretty lively city ๐Ÿ™‚ it was actually the first time for me in Maastricht lol, after 26 years it was about time xD

  24. I have only recently just got my head around Lightroom. Photoshop seems very scary in comparison. I will one day get it though and then learn via YouTube. Just need to save up as itโ€™s quite expensive.

    1. ah cool! I have to say that you could also use Photoshop instead of lightroom. Photoshop has its own RAW converter build in ๐Ÿ™‚ Lightroom is just a slightly more advanced package which is purely build for RAW formats. I use Lightroom because I’m just used to it and I use it as a database for my photos but there is absolutely nothing wrong with the Adobe Photoshop RAW converter, they are both excellent. The one and only good YouTube teacher for me is Phlearn, he knows everything. Photoshop is really fun!! you can go as far as your imagination goes. It is indeed expensive! it’s cheaper if you’re a student xD I pay 20 euro a month for all of the Adobe software.

  25. Haha that’s very interesting indeed… altho I think I’m not very prone to eating insects ๐Ÿ˜‰
I think btw that I saw this new place one of the last times I went to Amsterdam… it rings a bell.
Thanks for sharing, and have a nice day!

    1. haha yea it’s not very popular amongst Europeans, they want to introduce the insects more and more untill it becomes “regular” as a food. I think they’ve been open about 6 weeks now but last Monday it was the official opening. Cheers enjoy your day ๐Ÿป

    1. haha don’t they say that about everything ‘it tastes like chicken’ xD spider leg mmm think I would close my eyes too. I have little grasshoppers at home and it tastes like powder garlic lol
